| On the 17th of November 2008 Adam Ondra climbed the route Open Air 9a+, the author of the climb is Alexander Huber, who put up the route in 1996. It is the hardest Alexander Huber route, with the crux move just before the end. This was the first repeat of the route, taking 9 tries. |

| On the 18th of October 2008 in the climbing center Adrenaline Pit on Václavské Náměstí a junior speed climbing competition took place called Czech Cup 2008 Speed. The organizers of the competition were Climbing Club Whiplash (CCW). Our company Rock Empire s.r.o was one of the sponsors of the competition. |
