The annual Girls Only Slackline Festival is a highline meeting for women held in Ostrov, Czech Republic. The event is in it's 6th year, and more than 30 girls gathered in the sandstones to put their balancing skills to the test on a variety of highlines. The event is an international affair, with at least eight nationalities represented. This year girls attended from as far as Sweden and USA. The level of ability ranges from beginner to professional, and this year there were highlines from 12 meters long to 56 meters long. Ostrov is the perfect place for the event, with easy-to-access highlines and beautiful exposure over the forest. Each year the Himmelreich cottage is sponsored for lodging, so the girls who attend have an entire house to themselves. This year Rock Empire supported the event with some prizes which were given to the girls after a "boulder the table" competition in the pub. The event is created and organized by Rock Empire athlete Faith Dickey, who climbs and rigs the highlines on the sandstone towers for the event each year.
