HUDYsport s.r.o. is the largest chain of the outdoor equipment stores in the Czech Republic and Slovakia with a tradition that has been developing since 1990. The key part is made by 41 retail stores in the domain of both countries. The management of all 33 stores in the Czech Republic and the 8 in Slovakia is based on a franchising agreement.
The HUDYsport company was founded in 1990 in a small village called Hrensko near the German border. Thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of its employees, the small company became, in 16 years, a chain with 27 stores in the Czech Republic and 7 other stores in Slovakia. Service and knowledge of the field enabled HUDYsport to acquire an exclusive representation of brands such as The North Face, La Sportiva, Faders, Icebreaker, Hanwag, etc. Nowadays, HUDYsport is the leader in the Czech outdoor market and its goal is to further improve customer service and to bring products from reputable manufacturers to their satisfied customers.

The Founder of HUDYsport Company – Jindrich “Hudy” Hudecek
The key character for the creation of theHUDYsport company is its founder, Jindra Hudecek (born 1964). The rocks are his greatest lifelong love, primarily the sandstone in the region of his native Czech-Saxon Switzerland, which he has climbed together with his friends since his youth.
He has applied his climbing talent as a member of the national team, as a participant of the world cup in climbing in difficulty, and in Rock Masters races.
When he finished climbing professionally, he fully turned to road motorcycles, and then as well to automotive races on the track. His voyage to the outdoor equipment business was obvious thanks to his close contacts with the climbing material manufacturers and his jobs in stores that carried climbing goods. He founds a small company in 1990 that trades in outdoor equipment and becomes the basis for the HUDYsport company that exists today.
The employees of HUDYsport were always the friends with the rocks and climbing expeditions. A strong spirit inside the company was created thanks to that, and it is still its driving power today!
